14 Years, Multiple Industries, and One Mission: Turning Safety Into Strategic Advantage
How Nebin C Jose built an international career at the intersection of risk, sustainability, and business performance
In industries where a single decision can impact lives, operations, and reputations, safety is often viewed as a protective function. For Nebin C Jose, it has always been something more.
Over the past 14 years, Nebin has built an international career across the United Kingdom and the Middle East, helping organizations transform safety from a compliance requirement into a strategic business advantage. His journey spans aerospace manufacturing, precision engineering, water desalination, high-rise construction, environmental management, and industrial operations—each industry presenting different challenges, but all demanding the same principle: disciplined decision-making.
Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and advanced qualifications in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Management, Fire Safety, and Sustainability, Nebin developed a rare combination of technical expertise and strategic perspective. His credentials include Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), Associate Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (AIFSM), ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certifications, and extensive experience in environmental and sustainability management.
His professional journey began in 2011 as a Project HSE Engineer with GPR Tubes & Tape, where he gained valuable experience in project safety management and industrial operations. Those early years laid the foundation for a career that would soon expand beyond conventional safety responsibilities.
A major milestone arrived when Nebin joined Samsung C&T Corporation as a Senior HSE Engineer, contributing to one of Saudi Arabia's significant LEED Gold-certified developments valued at over 1.5 billion SAR. Working within a large-scale international project environment exposed him to complex stakeholder management, stringent compliance requirements, and the realities of maintaining safety excellence at scale.
His next chapter with Suido Kiko Middle East further expanded his leadership responsibilities. As HSE Manager, he operated within high-risk industrial environments serving major infrastructure and utility sectors. The role deepened his understanding of organizational resilience, operational risk, and the relationship between safety performance and business continuity.
"Safety is not control. It is clarity in every decision."
— Nebin C Jose
That broader perspective eventually led him to Saudi Brothers Water Group, where he was entrusted with overseeing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental functions across five companies operating in sectors ranging from water desalination and chemical operations to aerospace manufacturing and industrial production. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board of Directors, Nebin helped shape group-wide HSEQ strategies, competency frameworks, and resource planning initiatives.
This transition from operational leadership to board-level engagement marked a defining evolution in his career. Safety was no longer limited to site inspections and compliance audits; it became an essential component of corporate governance, organizational performance, and long-term sustainability.
In 2020, Nebin brought this expertise to the United Kingdom as a QHSE Consultant with SHEAC Safety & Excellence Engineering Consultancy. Working across multiple organizations, he supported the development and implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems, helping businesses strengthen governance frameworks, improve operational controls, and achieve internationally recognized certifications.
Today, as HSE Manager at Preci-Spark Limited, Nebin oversees health, safety, environmental, and fire safety operations across multiple manufacturing facilities and more than 500 employees. His impact is measurable. Through a sustained focus on culture, accountability, and continuous improvement, he has helped drive an 84% reduction in reported accidents and incidents while reducing risk and control hazards by 92%.
Yet his work extends well beyond traditional health and safety management. As organizations increasingly navigate environmental responsibilities alongside operational risks, Nebin has become actively involved in carbon reporting, ESG initiatives, Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions management, and broader Net Zero strategies. His ability to bridge compliance, sustainability, and business objectives reflects the evolving role of modern HSE leadership.
Across every stage of his journey, one principle has remained consistent: effective safety leadership is not about creating restrictions. It is about creating clarity. Clarity that enables better decisions, stronger organizations, and more sustainable growth.
Because in today's world, safety is no longer simply about preventing failure. It is about enabling success.
